Ndematelen Asong
Ndematelen Asong is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner. She has been in healthcare since 2002. She started as nurse aide and worked her way up by educating herself and advancing in her career. She obtained an associate degree in nursing at Central Ohio Technical College and a bachelor's degree in nursing at the Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. She worked as registered nurse, noted an increased need for behavior health providers. She felt she could help make behavior health care more accessible she therefore, returned to school at Marysville University and obtained a MSN in psychiatry. She employs holistic shared decision-making approach to treatment, incorporates evidence-based research in her practice and aims to empower patients, in a safe environment, to develop the skills they need. She specializes in medication management, anxiety disorders, depression, ADHD, Bipolar disorder, OCD, PTSD, and more. She is accepting new patients from 18 years old and up.
