Nadine Browning
I view therapy as a journey of healing, growth and transformation. I believe that therapy is the greatest gift you can give to yourself. I have had the profound privilege of accompanying many adults, teens, children, families and couples on their journeys toward a deeper, more satisfying, more compassionate and more authentic knowing and acceptance of themselves. I know how to help people access their own wisdom and healing power; we all have it, but we don’t all know how to bring it forth and make it work in our lives. In working with me you open to the possibility that you will, in your own time, develop a deep trust in yourself and in your innate goodness; learn how to nurture and strengthen your healthy self, and begin to move past the anxiety, depression, grief, relationship struggles, pain, confusion and fear. You can learn how to communicate your true needs and wants effectively in order to achieve satisfaction in relationships. You have everything you need inside of you; I’m here to guide you to your own true self. In my work, I incorporate concepts and techniques of CBT, Narrative Therapy, Drama Therapy, Attachment Theory, Buddhist Philosophy, Strength-based and Person-centered Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Humanistic Psychotherapy, according to my assessment of each individual person’s needs at any given point during the course of therapy. I have extensive experience with and knowledge of trauma, and in particular, the impact of early trauma on the development of the self. I have worked with clients of all ages and a wide range of circumstances and challenges, with a variety of backgrounds, strengths and needs. I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to my work. I am confident in my ability to provide the same high quality service via telehealth (video and/or telephone) that I was providing in person prior to the pandemic. I received my Masters in Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco, CA in 1998. I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in both California and Ohio. People I’ve worked with have described me as warm, welcoming, non-judgmental, tuned-in, honest, compassionate, wise, and skilled. I am grateful every day that I get to do what I love and what I’m best at. I will be honored to embark on your journey with you.
