Melanie Shmois
Your brain is the most powerful organ that you posses, yet most of us are not taught how to train it to create the results that we want in our lives. When I learned about cognitive behavioral therapy in graduate school and in my life coach training I had to share it with my clients to help the facilitate change. I have a graduate degree from Case Western Reserve University and have been working in a private practice setting for over 20 years. I love helping my clients uncover what they truly desire, understand the obstacles that stand in their way, and a plan to overcome the resistance to get more results in their lives. I like to equip my clients with various tools so that they have something to use outside of session times to obtain goals. I am very empathetic and also invite my clients to use the strategies talked about in session to keep moving forward. I also worked at on an inpatient and outpatient setting at the Veteran's Hospital where I learned so much about mental health from an interdisciplinary team. I focus on adults, using cognitive behavioral strategies to feel better and master emotional balance. If you desire more emotional strength reach out to learn more.
