Marty Tanner
Anxiety, depression, anger, trauma... most of us experience times in our lives where we are overwhelmed by our circumstances. Whether you're looking to address anxiety and/or depressive issues, increase motivation, want to learn to let go of negative thinking and negative self-talk (we can be so mean to ourselves!), improve relationships or parenting skills, increase confidence or any number of things, you have come to the right place. I've always thought it strange that we take our cars straight to the shop when something is off but we don't do the same for ourselves when faced with difficult times. I've been in the mental health field since 1990 when I received my Bachelor's degree in Psychology. I returned to graduate school when I was 40 in order to become a mental health therapist and have been practicing independently since 2013. I have always been mindful of and humbled by the trust my patients have in me and work to make sure our time together is helpful. I have worked with people experiencing a variety of anxiety and depressive symptoms, behavioral disorders, ADHD, chronic pain and long-term illness, victims of violence and sexual assault. My experience includes working with children adolescents, adults and families.
