Marlo Rouse
Dr. Marlo Rouse has a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and a Master of Arts degree in marriage and family therapy from Syracuse University. She received her doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Georgia. Dr. Rouse is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and has over 20 years of experience providing therapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups in various settings on a variety of issues to include couple and family therapy, sexuality, and trauma. Dr. Rouse works extensively with Veterans with posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). She has served as a college professor and supervises other therapists in the field. Dr. Rouse has conducted, published, and presented research findings at workshops in her areas of expertise. She has a collaborative approach to therapy, integrating various treatment and evidence-based practices to meet the unique needs and goals of each client. She utilizes family system approaches and principles of mindfulness in a culturally relevant context to guide her work. Clients have commented that Dr. Rouse is knowledgeable and compassionate.
