Lesley-ann Vickerie
Hi! I am an LCSW based in Jacksonville Florida. My background is 10 + years of Case Management, supporting and assisting in finding services for children and families who have experienced trauma. Since graduation from UNF’s MSW program in 2020 I have worked as a Behavioral Health Integration Manager & Clinician, assisting diverse client populations in both inpatient and outpatient, individual and group settings understand their mental health diagnoses and support holistic healing. In 2023 I transitioned to solely working as a telehealth therapist, providing creative therapy services to children 8+ and young adults managing medical needs, mental health diagnoses, and developmental disabilities. As a Caribbean-American therapist I have a deep understanding of culturally specific perspectives on mental health, and the stigma of mental health treatment in minority and immigrant communities. I walk with my clients through a journey of healing that breaks the repetitive cycles of generational trauma with hopes to not just heal the individual, but support the healing of communities. Using creative therapy interventions to bridge the gap between the words that are spoken, and the things we have difficulty finding the words to share.
