Laura Worth
Life can be overwhelming at times. Whether the stressors are external such as life transitions, relationship problems, employment problems, death of a loved one, or illness or internal such as shame, depression, anxiety, self image/self esteem, often we don't know where to turn or what to do. I know how scary it can be to seek help. My number one goal is to provide a nurturing environment where you feel safe to share things that you have never been able to say out loud. I would like to partner with you to help you get your feet back on solid ground and help you to love yourself. I have a Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) from St. Louis University and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Missouri (LCSW) with 21 years of experience as an LCSW and 33 years of experience in the fields of health and mental health. I have provided therapy contractually and in a private practice for several years. I have worked in hospital social work and have much experience providing counseling related to shame, self image/self esteem, relationship problems, employment problems, grief, depression, anxiety, and caregiver stress. I work exclusively with adults using cognitive behavioral therapy integrated with other theories, modes of therapy, and techniques. I do not believe that one size fits all and I adapt my approach to the unique needs of each client.
