My experience with clients has been through individual, family, and couples counseling for over 17 years . As a counselor, I am an active listener and always looking for the best tools, tips and strategies for improving client’s emotional mental health. My belief is that healing involves taking time and working on wellness slowly, holistically, and consistently. Just as physical health takes time and consistency, so does mental health. Be prepared to enter a no judgment, free from criticism and safe place for your feelings and thoughts Every client has inner thoughts about how they would like their life to look. Through talk therapy clients are empowered to bring those inter thoughts into reality. I am like a treasure hunter seeking to find that hidden treasure. Together, we can jointly come up with goals and solutions that are going to work for you. Change starts with you. It takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you to be the best you. I am aware that there is no single approach that fits everyone in every situation. With that in mind, I use multiple approaches to include but not limited to (CBT) Cognitive Behavior Therapy, (REBT) Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, and Reality Therapy. My educational background includes a BA in Psychology from Jackson State University and a MA in Counseling Psychology from the University of West Alabama.
