Kimmie is a dedicated counselor with a passion for helping individuals navigate their mental health journeys. She works with clients of all ages to heal from the various life circumstances that have kept them from living their most authentic life through a trauma-informed approach. She holds a Master's degree in Education with a specialization in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Louisville. Throughout her career, Kimmie has honed her skills in providing compassionate support to children, adolescents, adults, and families grappling with a diverse range of mental health challenges. Her particular expertise lies in trauma-informed care and helping clients process the adverse experiences they have endured throughout their lives. Kimmie is trained in various evidence-based therapeutic modalities including TF-CBT (Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and PCIT (Parent-Child Interaction Therapy). Kimmie's therapeutic philosophy centers around a client-centered approach, firmly believing that each client is the expert in their own life. When in session, she incorporates therapeutic interventions such as Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, etc. to individualize each client's treatment plan to their specific needs. Her goal is to help each client to align themselves with their own personal values and true authentic self.
