Kevin Kohnke
Kevin has experience in helping clients with depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, anger management, communication skills building, coping with life changes, relationship issues, grief and loss, self-esteem, and stress. Kevin has significant work with individuals living with grief and relationship challenges. Currently, Kevin works as a counselor for LifeStance Health in St. Peter's, Missouri both in office and online. In addition he works remotely for Rula and Sondermind. Kevin believes in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. Kevin uses humor and stories to help people see their problem/concern from a different light. He believes in building on strengths and using positive self-talk to make changes. Kevin is known for tailoring dialogue and treatment plans to meet the unique and specific needs of the individual. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards change. Kevin is regarded as a therapist who supports and empowers his clients on their journey. Kevin has experience as a counselor in a church setting, private practice, and the Department of Corrections. In his free time, Kevin likes to travel, garden, improve his woodworking skills, and work outside doing just about anything. Kevin holds a Doctor of Ministry degree in Marriage and Family counseling. Kevin retired as a pastor of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod in September of 2022. Then he began his second career as a counselor. Since January 2024 he has been serving the pastoral vacancy at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Jonesburg, MO. On September 21, 2024 he began serving Trinity Lutheran Church, Wellsville, MO for their Saturday night service.
