Kelly Digiacomo
Hello, I'm Kelly. I provide values-focused, trauma-informed therapy to individuals, including adolescents seeking to improve their relationships, expand possibilities, and reassert agency over their lives. My approach is friendly and collaborative, integrating principles of harm reduction, mindfulness, and somatic experiments based on research. In 2021, I graduated from Adams State University with a Master's degree in Counseling. Now, as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), I have been working in a small private practice in Durango, CO for the last three years. In 2023, I completed my education in addiction counseling and am working towards earning my license in addiction counseling (LAC) over the next two years. Additionally, I am trained in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). Before becoming a therapist, I worked for the Women's Resource Center as the Events Coordinator, fundraising and organizing events to advocate for the personal empowerment of all individuals in my community. In therapy and my personal life, I value creativity, interdependence, and humor, and am committed to working for equity and dignity for all people. I believe therapy is an investment in a relationship, and I strive to create an authentic, approachable space that allows you to be open and honest. I believe in the strong connections between mind, body, and community, and I approach therapy from a holistic perspective. My particular areas of interest include addiction, depression, anxiety, career and life transitions, and trauma work. I enjoy working with adults, adolescents, and creative professionals. If you're ready to take the next step in your journey, I'm here to support you. Let's work together to create the change you seek.
