Kelly Ausman
Whether you are struggling with depression, anxiety, a mood disorder or a personality disorder we all desire happy fulfilling lives. In order for us to get to a new place, there has to be a willingness and commitment to do the work. I will challenge you to spend your free-time differently. We will analyze what you choose to fill your thoughts with and the activities you currently engage in. “The pain of not changing has to be greater than the pain of changing” before we are ready to make a true commitment to healing. I will assist you in recognizing these patterns with the aim of shifting away from the pain-change cycle toward more forward thinking thought processes. It is important to note once you’re able to change certain thought patterns change will not be painful, but freeing. I can prescribe appropriate medications, if so desired to help you on your treatment path or manage medication you may be currently taking. My personal experience is that medication can be a powerful tool as you learn how to process life in more positive ways. For some, medication may be temporary as new neural pathways have formed. Research shows medication therapy is best as secondary to talk therapy. We will explore any childhood trauma that may be negatively impacting today’s thoughts and reactions. I am a follower of Christ and have seen His love heal many a broken heart. I can encourage your relationship with Him, but only if you desire this. I will never impose my thoughts and beliefs on you. I truly want you to find the happiness you seek; I care.
