Joline Morgan
Today, life can be challenging to navigate. Daily events, work uncertainties, and family obligations can affect work/life balance. These things can significantly impact our well-being and focus and challenge our values. It can seem impossible to deal with these life stressors and escape their overwhelming feelings. It may seem daunting, especially if we need the proper tools to work through them. I can help guide your mental health journey, and together we can learn how to manage the challenges life throws at you. As a licensed professional counselor (LPC), I have worked in individual practice for five years. I primarily work with clients experiencing depression, eating disorders, and PTSD. I have worked with families and individuals who have experienced trauma and struggled to navigate neurodiversity and understand life choices. Before individual practice, I worked with the Homeless at Boys and Girls town (Great Circle), a residential care facility for children with extreme behaviors, Families for reunification, and Domestic violence Shelters. I focus on working with individuals, using a psychodynamic therapeutic lens to build attachments and overcome trauma. I incorporate cognitive behavior therapy to help my clients think about the issues they're facing from a different lens while utilizing tools and skills to capture disruptive thoughts. By changing your thoughts, addressing past trauma and fear, and learning new skills, you can feel empowered to make changes in your life. I will always work towards developing a trusting therapeutic relationship in which you feel heard. Together, we can break down the seemingly insurmountable barriers you feel in your life and help you to find that work/life balance for family-focused/ individual growth.
