Jodi Mccarthy
I am an independently licensed Marriage and family therapist in the state of Ohio. I am a Master’s level clinician and have 26 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families. Additionally, I am trained and certified in trauma-informed care and systems therapy. I earned my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy while teaching grades 7-12 Math and Sciences in a private school. I specialize in family systems, but have extensive experience in individual and group therapy as well. I have worked with various populations, including at-risk youth, foster children and their foster and biological families, and trauma victims. Additionally, I work to create and value professional relationships with juvenile and adult court systems, child protective services, school districts/systems, churches, Family and Children First Council, Ohio Attorney General’s office, Division of Human Trafficking Coalition, Board of DD Services, and various other agencies or organizations that may be involved in the wrap-around care of individuals and families. On a personal level, I have been married for 31 years and we have five children and four grandchildren. I enjoy reading, spending quality time with family, and continuing to learn and grow as a clinician. I am currently working on my doctorate in Clinical Psychology, specializing in Forensic Psychology. .
