My name is Jo and I am glad you're here. It can be difficult to make time to take care of ourselves, so scheduling this first appointment is an accomplishment in and of itself. I've been a practicing social worker since 2016 and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2021. I've primarily worked with refugees, survivors of intimate partner violence, children, teens, and adults of all gender identities. I have experience helping those adjust to life transitions, chronic illnesses, relationship issues, self-esteem, and trauma processing. I believe in using a client-centered approach, which means I meet you where you are and tailor treatment to help find what works best for you. Therapy to me is more than just talking, it's about incorporating the whole-self and highlighting the mind-body connection.
