Jessica Jewell
Imagine if a miracle took place in your life to change things to be just the way you would want them to be. Many times we think it will take a miracle to see any improvements in our lives. I am no miracle worker, but I do feel that most desired changes are achieveable and I would like the opportunity to help you envision, work towards and finally see what life can be for you. Since I was young, I have always wanted to help people and I got into this field because of this. I feel it is my calling. I enjoy working with others to bring them out of a dark place to a much brighter future. I have been in dark places myself, but there is always a way out. I can help guide you in changing thoughts, recognizing available tools, and focusing on solutions rather than staying stuck in the problem which will help you take steps closer to your miracle. I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Social Work. I have been in the field for 17 years working with individuals of all ages. I have experience helping people cope with depression, anxiety, substance abuse, cognitive concerns, bipolar, anger, OCD, relationship issues and much more. I am licensed as an indpendent social worker with supervision designation (LISW-S) and a chemical dependency counselor with supervision designation (LICDC-CS). Primarily, I have worked in a clinic setting, but have experience working in schools, in client homes, and at work sites. I am more of a general practitioner. I use cognitive therapy, motivational interviewing, and solution focused approaches to help kids, teens and adults improve life issues, mental health concerns, and substance abuse struggles. I understand that life can be crazy at times. Most importantly, I am real. I have a real family and real problems myself, which helps me to reach real people with real issues on real levels.
