I believe therapy can look many different ways, and can be very effective in varying forms. Sometimes we benefit greatly from brief therapeutic episodes that provide for education, skill building, and perspective shifts. Other times, we may benefit from ongoing relational work with a counselor. And sometimes, we find growth in intermittent visits with clinician. Therapy should ultimately be tailored to the client's needs, abilities, and goals. I approach client care with warmth, curiosity, empathy, and a bit of humor. I believe the interconnection between our biology, psychology, socio-environmental, and, for many, spiritual factors greatly shape our emotional health and all domains of wellness. Understanding our struggles in this biopsychosocial context, often gives us clues as to what may also alleviate our pain. I graduated from Colorado State's Master of Social Work program in 2014. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a Licensed Addictions Counselor (LAC) and have been providing counseling services for the past 10 years. My practices focusses on adults facing depression, anxiety, those working to manage complex medical conditions, as well as those who have received a new diagnosis. Additionally, I worked extensively with older adults, those who provide care to a loved one with dementia, and those who have careers in a helping profession.
