Jarretta Mahalko
Hi, I am Jarretta and I am a licensed therapist that has worked the past nine years for a non-profit organization that works with survivors of childhood sexual abuse. I am trained in EMDR and and am well experienced in treating childhood trauma and its impacts such as PTSD symptoms, intimacy issues, trust, boundaries, and difficulty with relationships and assertive communication. I also have experience working in substance abuse treatment programs, as well as with incarcerated populations. I had the fortunate privilege of growing up in the military and have lived in some interesting and unique places. This fostered the ability to respect and love different cultures, traditions, and peoples. I love being curious about people! I love playing Wordle and watching Jeopardy because I am a trivia nerd at heart! I also love animals and I was the one who always brought home every stray animal to love. As an adult, I have transferred that passion and compassion to facilitating growth and empowering those who feel helpless, hopeless, and unloved due to trauma and its impacts.
