Janeane Grisez
Janeane is a Registered and Board Certified Art Therapist, Licensed Independent Cliinical Counselor with Supervision designation, a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor with both Cliinical Supervison and Gambling Endorsement, and a trained Sex Therapist. She received a Bachelors Degree in Forensic Psycology (2010), from Lake Erie College, her Masters Degree in Art Therapy and Clinical Mental Health Counseling (2015), from Ursuline College, and her Post-Masters education in Sex Therapy (2022) from theOhio Center for Relationship and Sexual Health. Janeane is a trauma-informed, sex positive, kink friendly and brings authentic conversations that are affirming, informative and shame free. She has a variety of experiences, including community mental health, forensic work, inpatient substance use and mental health, school-based, LGBTQIAA+ and other marginalized populations. Janeane also has worked on specialized projects, including acting as a collaborating investigater for the DSM-5 (American Psychiatric Association), developed programming for outpatient substance use program, and currently serves as the President of the Buckeye Art Therapy Association. Janeane believes that everyone should have access to mental health care in order to live a healthy, happy life. She enjoys working collboratively with her clients to establlish goals that are acheivable and supporting them through the process of change as they grow in therapy. Janeane approaches the therapeutic relationship with a trauma-informed lens, utilizing evidence-based approaches that are tailored for each client.
