Daniel Stewart
Together, in a therapeutic setting, I believe that by gaining increased awareness of our experiences and how we interpret the world, we can reduce suffering and find healing. Therapy is more than a specific modality; it is a space to engage in a meaningful relationship. Through connection and understanding, we can experience true transformation. Often, in ways we are not always aware of, our pain is linked to the hurt we experienced as children. "In every adult, there lurks a child—an eternal child, something that is always becoming, is never completed, and calls for unceasing care, attention, and education. That is the part of the personality that wants to develop and become whole." - Carl Jung. Together, through exploration and increased insight into ourselves, we can learn how to embrace our authentic selves, without shame or self-defeating notions. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker trained in CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing. Using a systemized approach is valuable as it sets the framework to work within. Having this in mind, I allow the nature of my client's personalities and challenges to dictate which particular approach best suits them. I am solution-oriented. I am experienced in working with individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, perfectionism, low self-esteem, procrastination, interpersonal conflicts, and emotional regulation difficulties. I invite you to reach out to me to see if we are a good match.
