Cecelia Dixie
Cecelia Dixie, LCSW, was born in the state of Georgia and has remained in the state for most of her life. She earned her Bachelor of Human Services/Sociology from Lagrange College and then completed her Master of Social Work at the University of South Carolina, Columbia. For the past 17 years, Cecelia has worked in the field of social work with different populations ranging from children to senior citizens. In the early years of her career, she worked in outpatient settings such as the Department of Family and Children Services and then transitioned to outpatient clinics providing clinical services such as individual, family and group therapy. For the last 12 years, Cecelia has worked in inpatient psychiatric settings where she has served as Program and Clinical Director overseeing social work and other therapeutic departments. In 2017, she established her private practice, Sage Consultant Services, where she provides clinical and consultation services with community agencies and Georgia probate courts. Earlier this year she joined the part-time staff at Kennesaw State University as an instructor in the Master of Social Work program.
