Bruce Hatch
Hi, I'm Bruce. I began my journey in the mental health field back in 1986 as an undergraduate student at the University of Utah, where I interned with Salt Lake County Youth Services as a youth counselor. In 1992, my family and I moved to Denver, Colorado, and I've been gaining valuable experience in various areas of mental health ever since. In 2019, I established my private practice in Colorado Springs, CO, where I continue to support clients on their paths to healing and growth. I hold a Master’s of Science in Counseling, Marriage, Family, and Child Therapy, which I earned in 2008. Over the years, I've received extensive training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma-Informed Care, Internal Family Systems, Attachment Theory (DDP), Poly Vagal Theory, and most recently, IADC® Therapy-Induced After-Death Communication Therapy. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Nationally Certified Counselor, and I'm registered with the EMDR Institute and EMDRIA for my credentialing. Throughout my career, I've found that many of the issues and needs that bring children, teens, and families into therapy stem from emotionally driven distress. I believe that these challenges can be healed and worked through with approaches tailored to each individual's and family's unique beliefs, values, culture, and comfort. I'm deeply committed to each client and consider it an honor and privilege to walk with you on your journey of healing and support. While I am able to offer Telehealth sessions, I prefer in-person meetings as I believe they can be more effective, especially for trauma survivors. I understand that starting therapy can be difficult, but I am here to support you every step of the way. If you're ready to take the first step towards healing, I would be honored to work with you. Let's embark on this journey together.
