Anitra Jones
Anitra obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Georgia State University in 2005. She later went on to get her Master’s degree in Social Work in 2010 from Valdosta State University. In 2015, she was able to gain her clinical license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker while employed with the local Department of Family and Children Services. Throughout this time, Anitra has been able to obtain experience in areas of child welfare, mental health and substance abuse treatment, school based social work, community-based treatment, Private Practice, and even continues to work with veterans and their supports full time. Anitra continues to strive to help others challenge and change unhealthy thought and behavior patterns that contribute to their dissatisfaction with themselves, relationships, work, and/or life experiences. When providing therapeutic services, it is her mission to provide therapeutic and supportive services with care, understanding, and empathy. It is believed that by way of the Therapeutic relationship, the client is to learn healthy ways to manage life stressors and increase satisfaction in life (i.e. sense of self, healthy relationship building, work and home life balance, etc.).
