I am a nurse practitioner (NP) with a focus in psychiatry and family medicine (anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, eating disorders, etc.). I have 9 years of experience working in the healthcare field. I have an extensive background in women's health and family medicine, but I later transitioned into psychiatry, working with patients with mental illness and substance abuse issues. I feel compelled to help people with mental health issues due to the scarcity of service and the stigma that exists in this branch of medicine. While it is essential to function efficiently and overcome everyday challenges, unfortunately for some, it is just not possible because of mental deficits brought about by varying circumstances. I'm passionate about providing patients with quality, evidence-based, and affordable care. Patient-centeredness is of the utmost importance and leads to more successful patient outcomes.
