Allison Newman
Dr. Allison Newman is a licensed Independent Marriage and Family Therapist and Doctor of Psychology. She received pre and post doctoral training in Integrated Care and Medical Family Therapy at the University of Rochester School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry. Her special interests include treatment resistant depression and persons suffering from chronic illness/serious medical conditions and co-occurring mental health disorders. Her focus is on empowering people to create healthy relationships with self and others, and to help people develop better coping, life management and problem solving skills. She is a long time resident of central Ohio and lives on a horse farm with her husband, three equine therapy partners, two dalmatians and a menagerie of nearby wildlife. Dr. Newman has served on the boards of several mental health agencies and currently serves on the board of directors for an equine adoption and rescue agency in Lexington, Kentucky.
