Alexandra Ruane
Alexandra is a double-board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner. With over 13 years of nursing experience, Alexandra provides exceptional healthcare to patients of all ages. Her focus is on the treatment of mood disorders, anxiety and depression, substance abuse and chronic mental illness through psychiatric assessment, medication management and brief psychotherapeutic intervention for clients throughout the lifespan. She believes in creating an individualized plan of care that values client involvement, interprofessional collaboration and evidenced-based practice. Her goal is for her clients to feel empowered to treat their mental health through supportive education in a stigma free environment. Outside of her practice, Alexandra enjoys skiing, reading, cycling, and spending time with her family. She believes in maintaining a healthy work-life balance and encourages her patients to do the same. Alexandra stays updated with the latest advancements in her field and regularly attends conferences and lectures. She has been recognized and has received numerous awards for her commitment to excellence in patient care.
