Trauma-Informed Care: Foundations (Part 2)
This course continues the learning of Trauma-Informed Care understanding and application that began in Trauma-Informed Care: Foundations (Part 1). Practitioners learn the core principles and practices of Trauma-Informed Care. They also learn how to develop strategies for implementing trauma-informed healthcare services, including care delivery practices guided by trauma-informed values, trauma screening, referring to trauma-specific treatment, and creating trauma-informed healthcare spaces for practitioners. The intended audience for this course includes the healthcare team and behavioral health practitioners.
Trauma-Informed Care: Foundations (Part 2) is the second course in our two-part course and learners must complete Part 1 before they can access Part 2.

Course Outline
Since the course is interactive and each learner will proceed at their own pace, timing is not exact. These are approximations based on average pre/post-test time of pilot testers as well as the run-time of course videos and voiceover. This course does not have to be completed in one session.

Kelly Workman, PsyD, BCBA
Dr. Kelly Workman is the founder of Mindset Wellness and Consulting and a licensed clinical psychologist with board certifications as a DBT-Linehan Board of Certification, Certified Clinician™ and Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). She earned her doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of La Verne in Southern California and completed her predoctoral fellowship and 2-year postdoctoral fellowship at Yale University School of Medicine. She currently serves on the voluntary faculty as an adjunct Assistant Professor at Yale University School of Medicine where she supervises training clinicians and conducts didactic seminars. Dr. Workman is also a consultant for the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health DBT Roll Out (LACRO-DBT). Prior to founding Mindset Wellness and Consulting, Dr. Workman developed the Accelerated DBT Program at Columbia University Irving Medical Center and held academic appointments including Clinical Instructor of Medical Psychology and Assistant Professor of Medical Psychology. Dr. Workman has advanced expertise in a number of evidence-based treatment modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Mindfulness Self-Compassion (MSC). Her primary clinical specializations include working with transitional age youth and adults who struggle with a range of internalizing and externalizing difficulties, including Borderline Personality Disorder, suicidal and non-suicidal self-injurious behaviors, trauma, interpersonal difficulties, and other issues associated with emotion dysregulation. Additionally, Dr. Workman has expertise in providing behavior management training to parents and caregivers as well as consulting with residential treatment centers, group homes, and elementary, middle, and high schools.Emily St. Amant, MA, LPC-MHSP
Emily served as a Clinical Manager at Psych Hub from 2019 to 2021, helping to bridge the gap between research and academia to the practical real-life application of theory and therapeutic interventions. She assisted the team throughout the content development process by reviewing and creating content to ensure it will resonate with her fellow clinicians and be beneficial to all audiences.
Currently Emily works for the American Counseling Association as Counseling Resources and Clinical Education Specialist.Emily is a licensed professional counselor, mental health service provider. She completed her Master’s in Counseling with an emphasis in Mental Health at MidAmerica Nazarene University. She is a Tennessee counseling licensure board approved supervisor and has been designated as a mandatory pre-screening agent.
Before joining Psych Hub, she gained many years of experience in the mental health and substance abuse treatment field, much of which was spent serving as a therapist to a diverse caseload in a community mental health setting. She also has experience in crisis counseling and assessment, intake evaluations for level of care placement, outpatient and inpatient treatment, and utilization review.
