Divorce Options: Supporting Clients Through Next Steps
Parents, individuals, and children can heal, grow, and learn from a divorce process centered in respect and dignity. Most individuals don’t know what options there are for divorce; especially how to find family-systems and holistic focused processes for divorce. This course will teach practitioners to identify the key components of divorce and trauma for children and adults. This course will provide practitioners with an understanding of the pros and cons of different divorce options, and how these options may differentially affect their client(s) and the therapeutic process during the divorce process. Options discussed include: mediation, “do it yourself”, litigation and Collaborative Divorce. This course will provide a framework for clinicians to implement these discussions into their treatment process.
