Hello. A native of Houston, Texas, I was a member of Top Teens of America (sponsored by Delta Sigma Theta Sorority) Houston Chapter ranking 2nd Runner-up Ms. Top Teen and Honorable Mention for oratory in Top Teens of America statewide conference in her senior year in high school. I earned her Bachelor of Arts from Austin College in Sherman, Texas. I also earned a Master of Science from Texas A&M University – Commerce, Texas. I have worked in the field of substance abuse and mental health counseling since 1999 working with children placed in foster care, probationers, parents involved with CPS, referrals from the court system, and those seeking counseling for various needs such as anger, domestic violence, life skills, and parenting. I have been recognized and awarded as one of the “Top 30 Influential Women of Houston” in 2015. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, and a National Board Certified Counselor. I am also a member of the Texas Counseling Association.
