Kristen Ayers
Kristen is a master's level therapist with an advanced degree in social work (LISW-S). She has been practicing for almost 12 years. Kristen prefers to work with each individual person to determine the best direction for therapy, based on their unique needs. She utilizes techniques associated with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), in combination with Motivational Interviewing and Solution Focused methods. Everyone has different needs, and there is no "one size fits all" therapeutic technique! Her main focus is finding the strengths a person already possesses, and helping them use this strength to tackle the issues at hand. Kristen has experience helping people struggling with anxiety and depression. She also has several years' experience guiding those who are grappling with the impact of grief and loss. From bad break-ups to the passing of a loved one, Kristen has successfully helped people work through their emotions. Kristen provides video sessions online, and at this time is unable to offer in-office visits. Over the course of her experience, she has found that there are significant advantages to online therapy, and it can be equally as effective, if not more-so, as in-person treatments. Her hours are generally during the week, and she would be happy to discuss her availability to find a time that works for you!
