My therapeutic approach is unstructured, using real-life application along with an integrative approach encompassing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution Focused Brief Therapy. I believe in customizing my approach to meet your needs. I became a therapist to help others realize that we are all resilient beings capable of functioning better while working alongside life’s challenges. Based on my own experience as an adult, I too have had to learn the appropriate educational tools and coping skills to show up each day as my best …despite life’s hardships. I am an active listener, who will be respectful and create a relaxing, nurturing, therapeutic space where you will feel supported and empowered. I specialize in working with individuals to help identify where they are, where they want to be, and help devise tangible objectives to get there. Through patience and acceptance, I believe therapy can aid individuals in recognizing problems, learning about symptoms, as well as learning self-awareness to change their thoughts and behaviors. My goal for every one of my clients is to learn different ways to cope with issues by identifying problems that are blocking growth. I strive to assist others on how to change their ways of thinking and reacting to problems that occur in their lives. I show great effort in normalizing therapy so that we can heal ….as a whole. Our first telehealth session will involve us getting to know each other. I will be learning about your social support, work and/or school life, family, hobbies, and any other organizations you are affiliated with. During this time, it is very important for me to create a safe space for you to share why you are seeking treatment and for us to build goals and practice strategies to help you reach your desired outcomes.
