Billie Gilliam
Billie J Gilliam is independently dually licensed ,as a professional clinical counselor and chemical dependency counselor in Cleveland, Ohio for Parker Counseling and Consulting. She provides mental health and substance use disorders services for individuals, and trauma informed counseling for couples, families and individuals. Billie graduated from John Carroll University with a masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a bachelors from Cleveland State University in Psychology. Billie has received additional trainings and certifications in addictions, psychopharmacology, physiology and others. As a trainer, Billie has taught individuals across the educational and occupational spectrum in various mental health, relational, substance use and leadership modalities. As a post-secondary educator, Billie has taught psychology, chemical dependency courses and group counseling at the masters level. Billie has professional publications that include relational cultural theory, case studies, and adolescent relationships. Her philosophy of treatment includes an integrated systems approach that is strength-focused. As a clinician, Billie facilitates a process over product ideology where clients can find the paradigms that disrupts the ability to thrive.
