Anthony Saracina
Hello. My name is Tony Saracina. I am a licensed professional clinical counselor providing telehealth in Ohio, South Carolina, Florida, and Texas. My focus areas of practice are adult anxiety and depression, college-related transitions/relationships, couples, military veterans, and geriatrics. My approach is client centered and I desire to start where the client desires to start. Initially forming a trusting therapeutic relationship - a space where the client feels safe - is foundational. All therapy will flow from the relationship. Additionally, I also offer the option for those clients who are interested in a Christian-based approach to counseling Over the past thirty years, I have been able to acquaint myself and work with a variety of people and the issues they are dealing with - pregnant teenage moms, preschoolers and their families, inpatient treatment of adolescents, residential treatment for children, court-involved adolescents, intensive outpatient adult substance abuse treatment, outpatient military veterans and geriatrics. What it is like working with me - I think feeling safe would be a description of what it is like to work with me. In therapy, I believe, safety is job one. When people are safe and comfortable, therapy can proceed. My journey to mental healthcare - People are wired to do some things better than others. I have, it seems, a helping capacity role built into my DNA. Nearly thirty years have passed since I began a career in the helping profession and each day excites me to continue on my journey and growth as a therapist and to continue to help others in their therapy efforts. My goals for you - Goal setting will be driven primarily by the client. I do think people intuitively know how they desire to feel and what behaviors they desire to change. As a clinician, I'll work at providing any feedback that will facilitate the client's achieving of their therapy goals. My first session with you - An exploration of the client's goals and aspirations will be a high priority for us during that initial session. I do desire to establish rapport with the client and to set the client at ease. Once again, creating a safe atmosphere for the clients to do their work is the highest priority.
