Skills-Based Foundations of ACT
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a behavioral, experiential, mindfulness-based psychotherapeutic approach that is an evidence-based approach for a number of disorders and problems. Instead of helping clients change or eliminate negative thoughts and feelings, ACT focuses on changing an individual’s response to those thoughts and feelings in order to live in more powerfully meaningful ways. This course will cover the theoretical foundations of ACT, as well as provide specific skills that can be introduced into your practice.
