"Shanna Downing is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 20 years of experience helping individuals navigate ADHD, anxiety, depression, grief, and career challenges. She is committed to providing compassionate, respectful, and client-centered care, tailoring therapy to meet each person’s unique needs. Shanna integrates evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) to help clients build self-awareness, develop coping strategies, and create meaningful change. She believes that improving mental health starts with understanding the connection between thoughts, feelings, and actions—small shifts in one area can lead to transformative growth. With a diverse background in human behavior, Shanna has worked in multiple treatment settings as both a therapist and psychology instructor. She is passionate about supporting LGBTQ+ individuals, single mothers, survivors of trauma, and those managing chronic illness, fostering a safe and inclusive space for healing. Outside of her practice, Shanna enjoys reading, hiking, and spending time with her family. She understands that taking the first step toward a more fulfilling life takes courage and is dedicated to supporting clients through their journey with warmth and compassion."
