I'm a person-centered counselor who brings compassion, understanding, and genuineness to every session. Rather than focus on the diagnosis, I prefer look at the “big picture” of a client’s life to find the root cause of their concerns. We will explore how your thoughts, actions, environment, upbringing, and relationships might be affecting your mental health. We will then set goals to help you pinpoint where you want to be. I use techniques such as reflection and processing, self-exploration and education, challenging and replacing unhelpful thoughts, incremental behavioral changes, assertiveness and communication skills, meditation and mindfulness, deep breathing and emotional regulation skills. I enjoy working with clients from diverse backgrounds, identities, and spiritual paths, and am happy to integrate my clients' spirituality into our counseling interventions. I want to help others through finding their true selves and creating a greater sense of purpose, meaning, and belonging in the world.
