I've been in the field of psychiatry for over 23 years, working in various care settings, including traveling, emergency, residential, inpatient, IOP, and outpatient care settings. I received my BSN in nursing at UMass Boston and obtained my PMHNP at Regis College. I believe the treatment process begins by creating a trusting yet empathetic relationship between the provider and the patient. I've learned in my tenor that every care encounter is unique and should be judged accordingly to ensure the best possible treatment care outcomes. I've worked with all patient populations across the lifespan, including children, adolescents, young adults, and older adults, especially vulnerable patient populations, including people experiencing homelessness and patients struggling with addictions, using the best culturally competent and evidence-based treatment modalities currently available. My work with children and adolescents involves strong parent participation and liaising with other critical multi-disciplinary team members to ensure the best care outcomes.
