I became a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner while working inpatient as a psychiatric nurse for 5 years. I am proud of my profession in nursing, as I believe that nurse practitioners bring a unique perspective to this field. Kind and compassionate bedside manner and effective listening skills are values I developed early on in my career, and I feel comfortable making connections with folks from any background.
I provide sessions that are surrounded by respect and nonjudgment, and what I find most rewarding is when a client says that I made them feel comfortable sharing their experiences with me.
