Hi, I'm Nathan, and I'm delighted to be your counselor. With twenty-five years of experience in Christian counseling, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC-S) in the state of Texas. I hold an M.A. from Amberton University in Garland, Texas, and a B.A. in pastoral counseling from Criswell College in Dallas, Texas. As a multicultural therapist, I am passionate about helping clients from diverse backgrounds and cultures navigate their unique challenges and achieve meaningful goals.
My treatment approach is rooted in cognitive behavioral, rational emotive, solution-focused, behavior modification, and evidence-based theories. I believe in the power of therapy to transform lives and am committed to providing a supportive and non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings. It takes courage to seek help, and you've already taken the first step toward a more productive and fulfilling life.
I specialize in a wide range of areas, including relationship issues, family dynamics, depression, anxiety, parenting, youth and adolescence, religion, grief, and trauma. Over the years, I've had the privilege of helping many clients overcome life's challenges and difficulties that once seemed insurmountable. My counseling environment is built on trust, a sense of humor, and a common-sense approach. I like to think of each session as valuable as a postal stamp; we will stick to it until we get there.
Outside of my professional life, I value the importance of balance and self-care. I enjoy spending time with my family, engaging in outdoor activities, and exploring new cultures and perspectives. These experiences enrich my practice and help me connect with clients on a deeper level.
If you're ready to take the next step on your journey, I'm here to support you every step of the way. Let's work together to achieve the life you envision.
