"Kimberly Dukat is a licensed therapist with over 20 years of experience specializing in mental health and substance misuse issues. She holds a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Lesley University in Cambridge, MA. Kimberly began her career in a day treatment center for adults with chronic mental illness and has since served as the director of a women’s partial hospitalization unit and a large rehabilitation program for drug and alcohol recovery. Her private practice includes clients aged 13 and above, and she has facilitated numerous therapy groups. Drawing from a Rogerian philosophy, Kimberly believes that genuineness, acceptance, and empathy are essential to fostering personal growth and change. She offers a compassionate, humorous, and empathetic approach, focusing on creating a non-judgmental environment that encourages exploration of behaviors and habits that may be hindering progress. Her extensive training in various therapeutic modalities ensures she can tailor her approach to meet each client's unique needs and goals. Outside of her professional life, Kimberly enjoys gardening, spending time in nature, and caring for her backyard egg-laying chickens and two dogs. She is actively involved in community volunteer efforts to promote an art district in her small town. Passionate about independent films, travel, cooking for friends, and reading, Kimberly finds these activities enriching and rejuvenating."
