My name is Jetta L. Colten and I have been in the mental health field as a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist for 13 years providing help for clients with a wide range of challenges and diagnoses, covering the life span from 5 to 80 years old. I work with individuals as well as family systems in all their unique types. I have extensive experience helping clients who struggle with depression, anxiety, complex trauma, life transitions, grief of all kinds. I have training in several modalities that are effective in treating and decreasing symptoms, including cognitive behavioral therapy, Dialectical behavioral therapy, EMDR and trauma focused CBT. Born and raised in Southern California, I moved to Colorado in 2017 and now live in Missouri. I hold an MFT license in Colorado and Missouri and provide telehealth services. I love spending my free time with family and friends doing almost anything outdoors; gardening, hiking and walking, cooking and sharing food with friends bring me joy. My journey into the field of mental health began later in my life springing from my own life struggles and my love of helping others. I think of myself as a guide / collaborator with my client on their journey and find great joy in seeing client’s increase self-awareness, personal growth and achieve their dreams. Please reach out to me if you feel I might be a good fit and I would be honored to take those steps with you on your journey.
