Hello and welcome! My name is Helen and I am an LPC in Texas. I am happy that you are taking the time to review my profile to see if we are a good fit. I don't have an agenda aside from helping you feel better and happier in your life. My therapeutic approach is more like a conversation with a close friend who makes you feel safe and encourages you to explore your thoughts and feelings. Do you ever feel as though you have thoughts that aren't serving you but you don't know how to change them? Do you feel bad and you're not sure why? Are you unsure of what you want in life? I help my clients gain clarity on who they are, what they want, and how to explain it to others by asking them questions to unlock doors they didn't even know were there. You talk, I listen. I point out reoccurring themes I notice in our sessions, perfectionism comes up a lot for my clients, and we explore whether or not those beliefs are helpful to you. If they aren't, we explore your beliefs and find another point of view, another perspective that is also true but helpful and nourishing for you. I like pointing out your strengths and reminding you of your past successes and skills which can be applied to your current challenges. I look forward to working with you.
