Hello, I'm Heidi. Do you struggle with anxiety, trauma, or sometimes wonder what the point of life is? A safe and structured environment in which to explore your patterns of being can be the key to living a more emotionally healthy life and connecting to others in the present time. Collaborating with nature is key to healing. My sacred work is to help people connect to themselves, each other, and the Earth.
It is important to let yourself experience your ‘negative’ emotions, so you don’t get stuck in them. You cannot be in gratitude and anger at the same time, nor can you be in love and fear at the same time. Thus, taking time to build positive coping skills and to find enjoyment in life can help balance looking at the difficult changes that need to be made in your life. Like our bodies, our minds have a natural tendency toward health and healing over time. However, we can get stuck in old patterns or perspectives that can derail that natural healing process. I am a licensed psychologist as well as a spiritual guide, and can help you get back on your healing path.
The mind-body connection is central to healing, and I use a client-centered approach, including insight-oriented therapy, relaxation, mindfulness, somatic experiencing and movement, visualization, setting intentions, cognitive techniques, behavioral changes, dream interpretation, art therapy, forest bathing, play therapy, and EMDR in treatment as appropriate.
I work collaboratively with people of all ages, holistically exploring emotional, behavioral, mental, and spiritual factors. I have had a private practice since 2003 and have been practicing psychotherapy with adults, adolescents, children, and families since 1995. I love helping people in collaboration with nature, and in-person sessions are outside when possible.
I also offer small group mini-retreats in the summer based on the concept of expansion and liberation through mindful presence and free expression in nature.
In-person, video, or phone sessions are available. Please call 303-810-5856 to make appointments. I look forward to working with you on your healing journey.
