I fully believe the foundation for success in therapy is rooted in the therapeutic alliance between therapist and client. In this partnership, I bring authenticity, flexibility, and empathetic understanding and compassion. Therapy is not one-size-fits-all. My approach is eclectic in nature to suit your needs and to utilize your strengths as we move through this journey together.
I received an undergraduate degree in psychology and criminal justice from Wilmington College and a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wright State University. I am a licensed professional clinical counselor (LPCC), which allows me to diagnose and treat mental disorders in the state of Ohio.
In my 10 years in the mental health field, my work has been predominantly with adults struggling with depression, anxiety, stress management, self-esteem, grief and loss, complex trauma, bipolar disorder, and personality disorders. I have extensive experience in working with clients with co-occurring mental illness and intellectual disability. Over the years, I have adapted more traditional therapy techniques to suit the unique needs of this population. I am equally adept at working with members of the LGBTQIA+ community and those from multicultural backgrounds.
I look forward to talking with you to discuss your needs and I hope to have the opportunity to support you in working towards your goals.
