We can grow through such challenges by learning skills, strategies, and being open to new ways of thinking that can empower us to live our best life. I support people as they grow and heal through challenges by helping them build tools, listening with respect and compassion, and honoring their unique Self.
I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in Georgia with over 10 years’ experience working with adults and children. I am currently working with adults in a private virtual therapy practice. I have worked as a therapist in the university and college setting, with adolescents in a mental health hospital and with military adults and children in a public school. My experience includes dealing with a variety of issues such as depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, grief, and life transitions. I have also helped people who have experienced domestic violence and emotional abuse to heal and find inner strength to move forward in their life.
My counseling approach includes cognitive-behavioral therapy, teaching clients to think about their situation with a different perspective, empowering them to overcome challenges. I also utilize Mindfulness to help manage anxiety and depression as well as positive psychology and solution-focused therapy. I strive to provide an environment of support and encouragement for my clients. I am always inspired by people who have the courage and strength to seek something better for their lives. Change can be challenging but is always worth the work.
