Hello, I'm Ayonna, a licensed professional counselor with over 10 years of experience working as a mental health counselor. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with clients facing a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, divorce issues, and individuals who have experienced physical and/or sexual trauma or emotional abuse.

My counseling style is diverse, open minded, and non-judgmental. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic, and rational-emotive counseling. This allows me to tailor our dialogue and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.

I specialize in working with anxiety, anger management, personality disorders, family relationships, LGBTQIA+ support, life transitions, multicultural and diversity issues, phobias, PTSD, intimate and romantic relationships, spirituality, stress, suicidal ideation and self-harming, and trauma. I am also certified in the SonderMind Baseline Veteran Education Program.

What causes us to remove providers from our site?

We require that providers meet all licensing requirements of states where they offer services. If a provider loses their license, they are removed from our site for that state or service. We also seek feedback from users on providers they find on our site. We investigate significant negative feedback and remove providers if we conclude that to be appropriate.
