Have you ever felt overwhelmed, sad, anxious or not equipped to deal with life's stressors? Do you have issues getting along with your significant other, children, family, coworkers or friends, or struggle with parenting strategies or a loss? I'd love to talk with you about these concerns. As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP), and Certified School Counselor, I have over 25 years experience in the counseling field. I have worked with many children, teens, adults, couples, small groups and families, with a wide range of issues, including changing families, divorce, coping skills, loss, anxiety, depression, ADHD, behavior problems, parenting concerns, relational conflict and LGBTQ+ community exploration. In addition to working in schools, private practice, and an online platform, I spent time interning at Sheppard Pratt Psychiatric Hospital Day School, working at Job Corps with teens/young adults, and facilitating divorce groups in the family courts. I utilize many approaches to counseling, depending on the individual and situation, especially CBT (Cognitive Behavior Therapy), Client Centered Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy. On a personal note, I have been with my husband for 25 years and we have three teen-aged children- 2 girls and a boy. Our younger daughter has Epilepsy, severe Autism, ADHD and Intellectual Disability, so I have a lot of experience with handling challenges that special needs families face and caregiving fatigue. Raising our three kids has significantly helped me grow within my professional role as a therapist (and vice versa). I can help anyone who needs support, understanding and compassion, and be there to listen and help you and your family navigate through life's many challenges.
