Andrea Womack

Andrea Womack is the Vice President of Education at Psych Hub. Her role entails developing the strategic plan to produce online training media. Her responsibilities include leading professional teams of video developers, education and content specialists, mental health clinicians, and quality assurance teams to create engaging, clinically-sound educational videos and training materials.

Before joining Psych Hub, she was the Director of Operations at Ascend, A MAXIMUS Company, where she managed a portfolio of government healthcare management contracts. In this role, it was her responsibility to ensure individuals with disabilities received the assessments, services, and support they need to improve quality of life.

Prior to her role as Director of Operations, she was the Director of Compliance, Training, and Independent Contractor Services at Ascend. There she was responsible for directing company strategy for contractual, regulatory, and HIPAA compliance. She was also responsible for designing internal and external training strategy and leveraging a network of over 400 independent contractors to conduct disability assessments.

Andrea is also an accomplished public speaker having participated in several national conferences on long-term services and supports for older adults with mental health conditions. She also chaired the National Association for PASRR Professionals and worked as a case manager in community mental health care in Nashville. She has a Bachelor of Science from Freed-Hardeman University in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Social Science from the University of Chicago.

When Andrea is not at Psych Hub, she spends time with her husband and two young children building Lego “masterpieces” and hiking state parks.

When asked why mental health education is important to her she said, “sharing and gaining knowledge about mental health, particularly those things that make us unique and yet so similar, provides the opportunity for connection, empathy, and understanding, leading to a better quality of life for all.”
